We are getting ready to purchase our first 1070. Any advice for the new kid???
Bring lots of money.

The double breasted Driptroit will suck the bottom out of the fuel tanks.

There were designed by an idiot after consulting with a moron. Nothing is easy to get to or work on.

The rear steer makes backing onto trailers a real PITA. Ask me how I know.

I drove them in the Army and wasn't impressed (but I had been a civilian truck driver many years while out of the Army).

They are SLOW on the road. Get used to life in the slow lane.

But they do have a cool factor of 100 percent and if I had the money I'd own one.

No worries. Not really taking it on the highway much. Mainly using it as a media truck for wow factor. We have a fuel sponser so we are good. It would be nice to find a way to do 55mph.

You have to find an a guy to reflash the truck. It is electronically governed to do 45. It can go faster but you will have to do a completely new flash as the flash that is in it wouldn't be available to your Detroit or Allison guy.

It has been done by the fsr (field service reps) in iraq.

I hope you know once you put corporate sponsorship logos and use it for corporate events it will require a dot number and who ever drives it will need a class a cdl. Even if it's not being used for hire it's being used for monetary gain.
