Is import of HMMWV in to the U.S. allowed?

I have imported hmmwv's into Canada, and bought hmmwv's here in Canada and sold them back to folks in the USA. Nobody has ever had a problem importing them back from Canada or getting them registered. That being said all these trucks I speak of we're exported to Canada originally on clear US titles...not form 97's
