Good afternoon everyone! This is my first post on SS. I just purchased an MEP803 and am excited to get it up and running. Unfortunately it arrived missing the fuel cap, fuel drain wellnut and front cover. I've purchased the cap and well nut off of eBay.

Do any of you have a front cover that you would be willing to part with (see pic)? I'm in Columbia, SC.

2nd question: for those of you using lawn mower batteries, did you change the cable ends or just clamp the cables to the tractor style battery? $46x3 seems much more appealing than $139+ x2.

Thanks,

Robert

I did some google reconnaissance and found adapters for lawn and garden to top post. The smaller batteries will work fine in good 'ol SC.

Attached is a Dist Code A drawing. I am allowed to send this. Measurements are in Inches. Please use from Tech Manuals under the generators TM 9-6115-642-24P Fig 6 item 18 as your reference for PN: 88-20008. This is an XB part that was never produced for normal requisitions. The engineers figured we could fabricate it in the field. So I have seen many made, and usually they just drilled the louvered parts with holes as this area is not vented otherwise and it should be. Use the clinch nuts and screws to retain and it is a pain to mount properly. I usually scrape a knuckle. Recommend once done you don't usually have to access for a long time so make things in order before mounting.
