I bet you are going to hear a bunch of crickets around here on that one.... Every State/County/Individual processing the information is different, sometimes it is super smooth, sometimes nothing but headaches and office chair wonders who make problems where there are none. Just have your tag/title guy continue to call and ask for updates until you get good or bad news and address it is it comes.

On road or off road?

If off road, does MD issue an off road only title?

Who are you waiting on to get a title? Your State DMV, a business, or GP/GL?

I can't tell what he is saying, if he is simply talking about getting an off road title from GP, there is no reason he cant ask about wait times here.

Has it taken anyone a long time to get a title?
Without asking or understanding his comments that came after that question, the answer is YES.

Hmm. I appear to be getting into a situation where I can't answer certain questions without violating site rules.

If you are in violation of the site rule, you're probably in violation of your purchase contract too.

It's crazy that so many post such things in a public forum.

We know the DLA watches this site.

I wonder how long before they take them all back.

I'm not asking how to put in on the road. Sf97 is an aplication for a title, why would they offer it if you can't get a title of ownership.

Why didn't you say that's what your goal is?

Does your state offer an off road use title?

SF-97 is not an application, it's more like a certificate of origin.

Let what go, he seems to have a legitimate question that we can discuss here.

WOW
Once again some people just don't get it

Title = OWNERSHIP !!!! Nothing less nothing more.
REGISTRATION = TAX to use on public roads.

Why can't some of you understand the difference ???

SF-97 is a certificate of origin (from the government)
basically a government title

I think the big gray area is the fact that you can on get an off road title, and in some states that's not common for a "truck" or whatever kind of vehicle a humvee may be designated as.

I know about title laws, but honestly I don't see the need for anything more than a paid in full bill of sale to prove you own it.

I have one vehicle with a title that is not for road use. It's a piece of construction equipment. It can be registered(plated) as such, and must be if driven on a road. My bill of sale is all that is needed to prove ownership(even though I have a title as well.

I never applied for a title for my M931, but I still own it and can show a bill of sale to prove it. If I need a title, I can get one when I want to for it.
