Auction lasted till about 1745. It also amazes me why Jax or Canaveral trucks bring so more money than Warner-Robin trucks, in the same or better condition. I too was disappointed, thought I could snatch up some good parts deals, but not at those prices. Scrappers didn't make any money today either. :-(

I dont know why the prices are so high here either, its always been that way. Its going to be twice as bad next time they auction some trucks..... I'm going to try and get a truck locally from a SS member or established dealer.

Jax insanity

Dave08,
I bought a hardtop wo/w 9 months ago at Ft Jackson for $1500, went through it all and fired up and drove it home. Not a even an inkling of rust anywhere to be found on the truck (even the bed).... Alas, I was ignorant and got it for a parts truck and tore it all apart, almost brings a tear to my eye now.... (got some GREAT parts off if it though)

Wreckerman893,
Time to fire up the way-back machine.... Ahhh Silver at $4/ounce Gold at $700/ounce Deuces at a Grand. Sounds like the stories I'll be telling my grandkids someday... Oh to be young again.......

I'm going to tell Tim to stop putting videos of the trucks running and driving!! I want to see "running condition unknown" like they do in Huntsville.:D

Decide for yourself. There were some pretty nice ones there, some pretty cheap ones, and some with winches. Most all were advertised as drive on's needing batteries.

I was hoping to get some of the JAX trucks for minimum bid. Some idiot outbid me on every one. Oh well!

To get the prices I go to event calender and click on the event number in this case 10143. But you have to look at each truck individually because the prices shown on the main page are vastly different than when you look at each item individually. Alot different.

I did that. My formatting came out weird for some reason, but the closing prices are accurate.

Dont feel bad it was the same way at Selfridge Air Base in Michigan a few weeks ago when they had 48 deuces up for sale. Michigan is just like Florida in a sence that we are also surrounded by water. out of state for Michigan and Florida is logistics and money

Exactly right. I have to drive 4 hours to the closest MV scrap yard and there are only a few military bases and they rarely have auctions. Result: higher prices due to limited supply. Sucks for me.......

out west here things are even worse. An A3 w/ow winch on GSA that looks like it had been in an accident (front end) went for $8,200. thats more than im trying to sell my truck for thats in perfect shape. I think ppl just think because its a action they are getting a deal.

I was watching the bidding LAST week on a bunch of M923s in Ft. Lee, VA. I was just sick. They all went for about $3,100 - running, good tires, canvas bed covers, cab hard tops - I was just crying.

Then yesterday, I was sick for the OPPOSITE reason! Prices sure seem to jump around!
