Jump Start Hmmwv?

I was under the impression that a generator is capable of dealing with completely dead batteries which is why the military uses them instead of alternators, which do NOT like trying to charge them when completely dead. I know I've helped replace alternators in vehicles with failed batteries after a few too many jump starts.

I have another question. Can you start a Hmmwv with no batteries and have a slave cable jump pack as they did on govplanet. Or do you need to have batteries in then put the jump pack slave cable deal. Just wondering if I should make a claim?

A "claim" for what?
But to answer your question of course you can start a HMMWV with only a slave cable, they do it all the time on GP

There is that word "assume" they did nothing misleading, even if it had batteries 90% of the time they are crap.
Who said you had to have batteries to use a slave cable on a HMMWV?

That was the question. Do you need to have batteries in the vehicle (dead ones) to even use the slave cable jump pack. It would seem that they have batteries in it to prevent the + and - cables just dangling in the battery compartment. In addition, dead ones or not. They ain’t there. There are other listings from Yermo specifically noting no batteries. What I’m getting at is govplanet owes me a set of batteries.
