Junk tires in lots at Hooks Tx

Anybody win tires from Hooks Texas?
I won two lots and had a junk tire in both lots.

Sidewall damage

Both tires were on the bottom of the pallets, and had sidewall damage.
Hard to see that even with a preview.

Were the tires advertised as new? Were they mounted on rims and holding air?

If you buy a bag of apples at the flea market chances are that the bad ones will be on the bottom.

This is just my opinion, for what it's worth, but it's harder to get rid of junk tires than good ones.

The GL folks at the site slip a stinker into every lot that goes out and get rid of their divots without having to pay for disposal.

You can dispute the sale but you'll get the standard line about inspection from GL.

Maybe I'm just cynical.

I dont think there should be any bad ones, no repeat sales bad rep.

They have term sales for scrap tires, no disposal fee there.

I think this was brought up last month too. I can tell you from personal experience that the items look better in the pictures.

Years back I got a lot of 100 tire from hooks. It cost me $53.00. I got there , they took me to a big building full of tires and told me to load up a 100. Boy the good old days.
