Just got my first MV!

Things I've done over the past month.
Painted the winch and got rid of the terrible red.
Painted all the axles with black rust inhibitor.
Painted the hood (turned out bad so no picture hahaha)
I attempted to adjust the doors by moving the hinges, however this turned out to be a nightmare. All the door pins were rusted, I broke off 8 of the bolts that hold on the hinges, broke off a few of the other bolts that hold the hinge to the door. I couldn't get two of the hinge pins out so I replaced those hinges entirely, tapped all the bolt holes for the next size and used grade 8 bolts. And used lots and lots of anti seize.

In the next few weeks I'll be adding on the spin on oil filter kit, replacing all the brake lines, and adding a light bar.

Haven't done too much to the truck in the past few weeks other than replaced a few seals. I also discovered I have the rear pto attachment so that's a nice bonus. Not sure if I'll use it or not, been thinking about putting a hydraulic winch in the bed and running a hydraulic pump off of the rear pto.

I'm planning on taking my whole pto assembly off to look inside because I still can't shift the pto into high gear and no one answered in my other forum post.

Also i got a pretty good photo of the truck the other day that I added.

I moved my personnel heater from the engine bay to the cab. I used some aluminum flat strap to make the brackets. Had to move the diverter box down towards the driver's side to make it all fit. Took about 4-5 hours. Doesn't look super pretty but I'm happy with it. I did try it out and the can gets extremely hot now compared to before where it was still cold.

Haven't connect the passenger side defrost due to the hose falling apart when I took it off originally. I also figured out my heater has a small leak so I'll be getting a new one of those at some point but that'll be in the spring. I'm also going to get a mesh guard to put on the cover of the fan at some point

With the heater drawing in warm air from the cab on continuous recirc, the heater should get nice & toasty. Brazing the leak shut on the heater would be a more affordable option than replacing with the new $230 units...just an idea...

If your heater has a small leak, You will want to get a new core sooner than later, when it decides to fail you'll have a nice clean up to take care of. Nice Truck!
