Just titled/insured/registered my Deuce in PA

PA Title fee $22.50

Tax on $1500 purchase price: $90

Registration Fee (Class 7 17,000 Registered Weight): $288.00

Out the door with plates for $400.50

A&M Notary in Frackville blew through the paperwork in like 10 minutes.

SO far I have less than $2800 total costs (including the first tank of diesel). Thats from Auction to Deuce in front of my house today.

NOT A BAD DEAL!!!

Nice job. My 24k plate is about $115 a year in Missouri. I don't complain, other places are much worse.

Thanks for the info! state farm came thru for me too. They are a good company

But quick question... To register and get plates do you need the tittle? I would love to get mine legal but Colemans is still waitin on the state to send them the tittle so we can transfer it to me

Insurance $65

Annual registration $55

Total $120

Can't use it for hauling per the state, and cannot travel more than 3000 miles per year per insurance.

Even so, it is a decent way to go.

From what I understand a vehicle in PA *NEEDS* a PA title. Without a PA title you cannot register a vehicle.

I have my 42GPW on historical plates. I might just switch back to regular tags simply because I like to drive it (a convertible AND a machine gun mount WITH a rifle rack!) and the historical tags severely limit that.

I pay MORE for historical insurance on my 42GPW than I do on the Deuce. I fear that any accident that is not SPECIFICALLY part of an 'approved event' would be a biatch to get them to pay. So a trip to the local steak house may not be covered becuase there is no 'event' there.

Might have been a class 6, the MV-1 only lists the requested registered gross weight as 17000.

It would have cost almost $100 more to get the weight up to the full 18,500.. I'll never need it so thats $100 in my pocket.
