Kennesaw Mtn GA MVPA Show and Swap Meet

There was talk of a large, privately-owned grass field adjacent to the museum that we had full permission to use as we will. I'm not 100% sure, but I will double check at the GAMVPA meeting in two weeks.

Ok, well I have talked my son into a birthday with 2 of his friends in the deuce at this event!! It will be something I can also credit his homeschool with. Now to get friday off and get truck ready for the couple hour drive!! Need to know if I will be able to bring a hibatchi grill and put a tent up? Looking forward to it.... It also states on the flier of reduced price to get in museum... what would the new price be???

I think I am going to drive the deuce to work on Thursday morning, leave early (2-3pm) and beat (as much as possible) Atlanta traffic and head up there and grab a good vendor spot.

I'll be at around the area at 5:30PM. Always like to hang out and talk about trucks. Hoping to take the deuce on Saturday if I get the radiator fixed in time.

Tent and grill shouldn't be a problem.

Having never been to one of these, how many mil-vehicles can my son and I expect to see? Any chance to ride or drive or is this strictly a static display.

I am trying to remember how many people were there last year..... If I had to guess, I'd say...... 30-50 vehicles.

I don't know if they will have a trail ride (highly doubtful) or any kind of a "driving" portion but my g/f and I will have one of her deuces and my M274 mule there and we'll give you guys a ride.

Would anybody might be bringing a 5ton My dad is interested in getting one he hasn't seen any of multi's or M800's onlyone he has seen was old yella wrecker. I think twright is bringing his duce up.

I've been looking at the 10SSGA thread, UP is about 1 1/2 hours or so further than Kennesaw for us, so Kennesaw will be a lot easier to go to (i.e. a one day trip; UP would probably be an overnighter).

I plan on getting there on Thursday night. Most likely I will be staying overnight onsite from beginning to end. I hope to have the 280 shelter to the point I can us it. As usual, I'll have everything under the sun to get rid of. Heading north soon to get a load of crap to bring back for the show.

If all goes as planned Joe...there will be lots of 5tons there, to include at least 1 Guntruck, 1 tipper, 1 cargo M54A2C, and maybe even an M816 wrecker...depends on who gets to come and what license they have.
