Like it! Surprised at the steep angle of the deck though, almost 45° from the looks of it.
You know Joel, with our pipeline beds (roller in the rear) and HIABs we could do almost the same thing. :)

[thumbzup] is the full range of motion(the lift & slide forward) of handled by one control?
No, there are 2 seperate valves to operate in the cab. The current Oshkosh design does have automatic sequencing, but this Kenworth does not.

Yes, very steep! A good test on your load tie downs for sure. With the 20' flatrack, the steep angle is required due to the bed height of about 6'. As pictured, the load is only about 10,000#. The hook lift system is rated for 36,000#.

You still would have to find one even if money wasn't a concern. Its a prototype deal IIRC.

Thanks for the vids M1075. What happened to a website? I've searched old threads of yours and looks like there were plenty of interesting pictures there.
Yep, these Kenworths were prototypes. I think 8 were made for evaluation by the Army. I purchased this one from an oilfield servicing company after the oil prices tanked last year.

With regard to my old website (www.m1075.com) I just let it finally expire. I still have the all the pictures on my computer.

You're correct. Also in that same evaluation were trucks by M.A.N. and Lockheed, of all people, the latter being a fully-articulated design that I've seen up close. There's no wonder it was rejected, as it was as tall as a big dozer and steered like a Gamma Goat.

IIRC, that Lockheed truck is still around, down Fontana CA way.

I have some pictures of my M.A.N. during the trials that I should scan & post. At least in my truck's case, they didn't exactly use it for the purpose intended, as mine mostly did missile recovery at Dugway.

Yea, that would be very neat indeed to see a rack being pulled from one to the other.

Would you be interested in providing a collection of pictures, possibly in a .RAR or something along those lines?

Not everyday you see photos of m1075's and prototype PLS trucks...

Reed, thanks for the vids. Truck looks alot better now from the day you brought it in.

Of course, you know what I'm going to say now......................

How about a vid of the truck and trailer hooked together. And a vid showing pulling a rack off the trailer on to the truck, then on to the ground.

You and I have the Kenworth PLS trailers. Is there anyone else that has them?
Yeah, I know. Pics/videos of the truck and trailer together are overdue. The KW trailer is nice, but I like the Oshkosh M1076 trailers so much better. I'll try and get footage of each and post it.

This one runs really well. It has a 7 speed Allison from the MTVR than can take it up to about 75 MPH. My other Kenworth PLS with original tranny is limited to about 54 MPH. The Oshkosh PLS goes to about 57 MPH.
