This is kinda off topic but still the same. I have a M1008 and need tires soon like tomorrow. I will be using it to tow and need the E rated tires so who makes an E rated mud tire in a 32 or 33 radial? what are you guys running on yours. I will not be adding a lift so the 33 is as big as I can go or possibly a 305/70r16 or 16.5 or 17 in wheel Thanks

a friend of mine has 35" Toyo Open Country MTs that are E rated and he really likes em, tows a horse trailer all the time. i might go with Toyos because of their towing capacity and they sound like a good tire. I'm sure they make a 33" tire be sure to check them out. a friend of mine has an 84 blazer stock with 33"s and only had to pound the inner fender well in slightly (probably not needed for daily driving). if you're not needing a ton of articulation you should be fine.

Looked like I was going to have to trim a bit with anything bigger. This will be a camp rig loaded with kids so I'm hoping this will do. Anyone out there with an antenna for sale ? Thanks again for all the help. Capt.T

Great looking rig!! [thumbzup]
I just went with 33x10.50x15s for my M1009. They kept the stock look, but gave me a little lower rpms @ highway speeds and another inch of ground clearance. And of course, just like you, no trimming of the fenders. :)

I ran 285's without any problems. And that was withe the saggy front springs. With new fronts springs you should be able to run those tires without any problems. I suspect that 305's would fit without any issues with new factory height springs.

I agree but I'm happy with the 285's in the BuckShot tire. Keeps a stock look. We're making this a "safari" vehicle for kids in Nova Scotia. Looking fwd. to getting it there. thanks forall the help, Capt. T P.S. I'll put some pics up when canvas is in place.

Thanks Mike. Top is being finished today. Making as much like a "Safari" vehicle as possible. Don't want my Canadian buddies getting all rowed up seeing an American military vehicle in their midst. Should have pictures this eve. thanks again , T
