LDS 427-2 sleeves and piston assy wanted

Hi,

Does anyone know of an inexpensive source or has a repair kit for the M35 LDS 427-2 engine? Complete kit with sleeve, piston, rings. Six needed.

There was a complete set of six on ebay sold for $350. Memphis Equipment is asking $311 ea. which is $1,866 in total.

How much different are they from the 465 pistons? The 427 was pulled early in the life cycle of the M-35 series deuce and replaced with the 465. Small numbers made means even fewer have survived 60+ years of non use. You might wind up replacing the whole engine with a 465.

A replacement to the newer 465 is an option we are thinking about. But this is the last option. A NOS 465 on our side of the pond will be up to $6,000.
