I bought some Continental LDS-465-A1 engines at an auction from the US Army in Germany.
They came fitted with part of front frame, power steering and gearbox and are cut out of a 5 ton truck. I suppose engines are ok when this is done?
Something else - I can see there are two different turbos. One with blowout and one without which is also smaller. None of them look like a Schwitzer from my manual.
Must be newer editions and why are there different sizes and is one better than the other?

Both of those pictures look like "C" (whistler) turbos, as they get wider as they go around. The "D" turbos are the same outside size all the way around.

The two turbos is of different size - is one of them better than the other...and wich one? Thank You
