How much? don't know.. I just poured 3 gallons of brand new 80 w hydraulic oil in because i got tired of tripping over the bucket in the shop. I also have a friend with a race car and he is always changing oil and gear fluid. SO i will get all his old stuff.

Bump?
Anyone get dipped yet? Better yet anyone figure out how to pay tax on their wmo?
I am reading the form IRS 720, but it is very difficult. I shall call my taxpayer advocate, but this will only cover the federal tax, right? Still need to pay the state tax?

I like driving around on CHEAP fuel, but would hate to have it cost me in fines.
You have to get an alt fuel permit/license. I think it was $100 and then the renewal however often it is. Then you just tell them how many miles you did or did not go and pay taxes accordingly. It's on the government website, I don't have the link offhand.

can we burn gear oil? if so should we cut it with gas to thin it out or just run it as is.
We can burn just about anything that will burn as long as it is clean and the correct viscosity. Whenever I change anything flammable substance I dump it all into my fuel pile which consists of mostly WMO, WHO, old gas, small amount of ATF, gear oil, diesel, little bit trace amounts f bake clean and other solvents.

The viscosity issues is different for ever engine and all is dependent upon IP and injector condition.

I'd be up for meeting somewhere, just need a date, time and place. If it's close enough I'll bring the 10 ton.

Correct me if I am wrong but all motor oil, tranny fluid, and gear oil was all purchased with the intent to be used on the road and a tax was paid. So why would it not be just like any other fuel additive that you put into any other vehicle on the road. In the case of the deuce it might be up to 100% of the fuel in the tank, but the tax has already been paid as an additive.
This is just my 2 cents and I have no idea if the courts would buy that statement, but the tax has already been paid to be on the road.

The state fuel tax is not applied to lubricants, only to fuel. The law on the book says you pay a state tax for fuel. It's not like they want there to be less tax revenue for them to waste.

My truck is running good, but I still dont have an inspection sticker on it yet. Saturday afternoons or any time on sundays work best for me. I would love to see the 10T also, but none of us seem to know where Kalashnikov lives.

I would love to go to BPS but still dont know if i can. I just got the wheel cylinder replaced and 2 sets of axle seals done. Front diff was bone dry.... took 1/2 gallon and the other diffs took a quart each. I am sure it will make the trip just fine but still haven't traveled that far with it yet. Let me see if i can convoy with MartinCox. I will at least feel better knowing I got someone with me.

Hmm i will try to make it the bass pro on thursday, dependent on what work i come up with this week.
And i would convoy, with Crazy, but my CUCV is down with a bad timing chain
Will be in the beatermobile (ford escort), maybe cazywelder and i can meet up and put the car in the back of his truck?
Sure would be a different thing to see at a car show:shock:

Bedford Ma,
Any hills near you that you can back up to for a makeshift loading dock? Or ditch that you can back wheels of the truck in to lower it down?
And to stay on topic for the thread, want me to bring you some fuel?

actually i have a huge pile of dirt next to my house. i dont think the developer would want me on his property since i just put the skill saw to a entire pallet of trex decking he had 6'-8' over my property line... check out the pics of the before and afters... i used his own stakes to string a line and thats where i made the cut. The night before i called the cops as i wanted it gone immediately. They called him at 2 numbers, no answer. i emailed him, no answer.. The next morning i took out the power tools.... but i digress.

yes on the fuel, as long as its not chunky with sludge.

i need to think of a loading place that would work. my bed is about 6' off the ground.

worst case, maybe u can just along with me and leave the ford at my place. (hidden of course) this is Chevy town here.
