I would like to do a M211 gasser with a caddy 500 engine and an automatic.someday i want to do the same type of resto to a ww2 deuce
Thanks a lot. I hate when things are done halfway. I never knew there were part numbers and casting dates on windshield hinges until I hit them with a bead blaster.Great workmanship!
I look forward to seeing the progress.
A big high-torque gas engine is a good choice. But any big GM would work equally well. I would guess that finding a running example is getting harder every day since they haven't been made in nearly 40 years.I would like to do a M211 gasser with a caddy 500 engine and an automatic.
You would be surprized how many old caddy engines there are and how cheap they are. Plus they have a different look than a chevy bigblock. People are just starting to fiqure out how much potential they have. They are torque monsters.A big high-torque gas engine is a good choice. But any big GM would work equally well. With the divorced transfercase you could put anything in there. I think the bigblock with an auto trans would be great.I have though about using Suburban running gear 454/t400 in a Deuce.
