Here you go Maddawg. This is not everything, but what I had in the shack. Thanks to the other guys who posted. I love looking and learning about GREEN radios. By the way I am always looking for accessories and misc. especially for the prc 117a. Seems to be hard to find anything
for them?? I guess there are a few to many to ID all of them, but if anyone needs more info just post or pm me. In the photo's are Clansman,Czech,East German, prc-126,128,136,127,68b,Thpmpson TRC,Southcom, prc74b, etc. 73's KD4NXY

Here's my "wall of green radios" in the storage unit. I've got most of the stuff inventoried but I don't know if any of it works. I think I have to rebuild most of the mounts. The RT-70 / AM-65 looks brand new and unused and the AN / GRR-5 is complete and probably works fine.

I'm trying to build the 3 main Old Family radio systems GRC-3, GRC-5 & GRC-7 along with the AN / GRRC-5 system. Eventually I'd like to add a RT524 / R442 system (someday).

It should be interesting trying to fit all of this in the back of an M 42 when I get the systems completed. :D

I have a BC-1306 and a DY-88 power supply that I plan on installing in my 1942 GPW. I recently came into possession of a PE-237 power supply case that I believe I can take the guts from the DY-88 and install inside the case to at least "look" the part. I alost have a PRC-25, PRT-9, RT-4, RT-66, RT-68, and I forget the rest. I will have to get some pics and post them for everyone to see.

Hey there. I haven't been active on the forum or playing with my MVs for a while (I've been busy with some of my other hobbies... I have way too many of them!), but I've been thinking of thinking about trucks again lately. So I wandered back on here, and heard "military radios"... one of my other hobbies, and the one that dragged me into MV collecting in the first place!

First off, I'd like to say that both the R-390A and GRR-5 in maddawg308's collection are thoroughly respectable mil radio receivers!

Now about my collection... I don't know if my collection is as big as Kurt's, but it's big enough that I'll just list some of the rigs that I have one or more of, off the top of my head, and I'll probably miss a bunch! In no particular order:

  • PRC-10
  • RT-68
  • RT-70
  • SEM-25
  • EM-25
  • SEM-35
  • RT-1439
  • RT-1523
  • GRC-106/122
  • GRC-19/46
  • R-390A
  • T-368
  • PRC-70
  • PRC-74
  • PRC-77
  • GRC-109
  • GRC-109A
  • RT-246
  • RT-524
  • R-442
  • Type 102E (ChiCom)
  • SCR-619
  • BC-611
  • PRC-6
  • GRR-6
  • GRC-9
  • H4855
  • PRC-21
  • PRC-68
  • PRC-128

That's just the radio commo stuff that I can think of off the top of my head. Then there's the telegraph stuff, teletype stuff, data comms, test equipment, radar, crypto, various stuff that I've sold off, and who knows what else?

I don't have pictures of all of it, and they wouldn't fit here, anyway! So, here's a picture of the rig I've been working on most recently, my T-368C transmitter. Pictures of some of my other stuff live on my web page.

WOW! You get the Drool of the Month Award for your collection, nf6x ! That's quite a gathering of heavy mil radio iron, especially the T-368, that really takes the cake!

Real radios have wheels on them to roll them around....

Thanks! I'm especially excited about finally getting my T-368C on the air, after it's sat in one of my sea containers for about 4 years. Those ain't tubes... they're firebottles!

I have:

Most of a GRC-206 FAC Pallet
PRC-113
LST-5
RT-246
2 X RT-524
2 X GRC-106
2 X MD-522 (and teletypes to make up the GRC-122 in shelter)
1 x EPLRS (demilled, sadly)
2 x KY-57 (demil)
2 x complete British/Canadian C42 sets plus RRB control boxes plus a bunch of transceivers/ power supplies
3 x URC-68s
2 x PRC-6s
8 x PRC-8/9/10 sets
2 x SB-22 Switchboards
1 x KY-38 (demilled)
Some bits of the FBCB2
Control/Display for the GRC-215 'Regency Net' System
Pretty much all the MIL-GPS stuff

Still need to get the PRC-104 and ps/RF amp for the GRC-206 setup if anybody has one, and an RT-1523 SINCGARS. If I won the lottery I'd be shopping for a PRC-138, a GRC-215 packset and rack/ amp etc. for the back of an M1009 Blazer, and a PSC-5 Shadowfire. But the lottery gods...never smile upon me.

Well, if we are going to talk about wire comm's, I guess I'll have to fess up to:
1 SB-86 with two TA-207's (via CL and Fair Radio)
7 SB-22's w/accessory packs
2 BD-71's (WWII six line switchboards)
5 EE-8's
40+ TA-43/TA-312's (mostly 312's)
34 miles of WD-1A
6 RL-31's
20+ RL-39/DR8-A's
and spare parts squirreled away where I can't find them.
