Lift Kit HEADS UP !!!!!

Just to help prevent this from happening to anyone else !

I ordered a 6in lift system (4 springs, 4 shocks) from NTW a while back for use on a 1028. Finally got around to using it and after installing it i thought something looked a little off. The front sat about 1in lower than the rear. Did some calling around and quickly discovered the problem. Turns out that even though i specificaly requested 1TON, I was sent 1ton rear springs and 1/2-3/4 ton fronts. The springs I recived where ment for trucks with small block engines, NOT big block or diesel.

I have the correct ones ordered now (additional $340.00 as i cannot return the others) But for reference the superlift part # is 01-235 for the 1-ton and 01-235-6 for the lighter ones.

P.S. Superlift is out of stock and back ordered on the "HEAVY" springs but this Rough Country # 8015 is spose to be the same

A while back, I guess so, but still unused, still in the box, you would think just for good customer relations being that thay screwed up, thay lost more just from your post then to make things right

if they sent me the wrong parts and wont rectify it, I would go to the local court house and look into small claims court, probably would do 1 of 3 things, case opened they probably would give you the correct springs to avoid the litigation, 2 you will go to court and get them under a court order, or 3 they wont even bother to show up which usually happens and you will get the same court order by default. I wouldnt take that route unless i was truly given the wrong parts, but amazing as it might sound, the system generally does work

just run a zero rate. Those springs will be fine.

New springs are allredy on the way. Im not gonna sweat it, I have plenty of other trucks that would love them! I in no way wanted to bash NTW in any way, Just wanted to make shure others didnt run into this.

All you needed to do was add a leaf... thats an expensive 1 inch you gained.

you could have added "longer HD rear front spring shackles" for more hight, better flex and stronger mounting point...

I have plenty of height you have seen my truck pics. what size tires are you running ?

37in radials, My engine weighs 4-5 hundred pounds more than yours, if not more.

I am well aware of my other options (biult many trucks) but i dont wnat "zero rates" and to stuff another leaf in there would be cobbled imo on this truck. The $ invested in it is at an amount now that another 300 is a drop in the bucket.....
