There are some perks to being a WWII re-enactor.

One of my friends brought all his big toys to the Torrance tactical this year; I got to be the halftrack driver the whole weekend

the funny thing is no one wanted to drive it,

but im used to heavy equipment with huge blind spots, so i felt right at home

Good for you, Mike. Glad you had fun. I drove an M3 HT some years ago, Rode like a brick on a skateboard... But glad I got the chance to do it.

I used to own a M3A1, they are a blast to drive! This particular one is a M16 (minus the quad mount) masqurading as a M3, note the hinges, and the fold down "scalloped" armor on the rear armor. Still a VERY nice vehicle, I think the American WWII Halftacks are the coolest of all US military vehicles.

Not the most useful, or user friendly.......but definitely the coolest.
