A guy I know in Lyons, CO (name is Brad Roelens) is selling a rebuilt, converted deuce "sprayer truck". He's had it for quite a few years, and stopped by earlier this spring to tell me it was for sale. It appears to be a standard M35a2 with the standard bed on it, with big tanks in the bed and a crane as well.

PM me with an email address and I'll forward you the email I have from him, which contains contact details and pictures. Otherwise, here is the body of said email:

1966 M-35 Kaiser 6 X 6
2.5 ton with white multi-fuel engine

This truck has a rebuilt engine, a rebuilt transmission and a front
PTO winch. A crane has been added with a 24' reach from the ground.
The tires are all in excellent condition. Fuel, oil and air filters
are new. There is a removable hard top, a front bra and no
significant rust. A detached hydraulic lift gate comes with it. It
has two 500 gallon water tanks, one or two 3" gas engine water pumps.
There is a fire hose and suction hose. A brand new heater kit comes
with the truck. Other extras.

sale price - $9,000 or best offer

Going North on I-95, not long after getting into Georgia from Florida, there are a bunch of A2s, A3s, and Firetrucks on the East side of the highway. They are all for sale. See them every now and then driving by... Then again in South Carolina on the East side of I-95 there are some more firetrucks for sale.

Still looking. Most of the leads I came across I couldn't get ahold of the owner. Any help would be great. A 530c would be great, or an Oshkosh Arff truck.

Thanks!!!!

Greetings folks-I know this isn't much help, but kind of related. I just sold this a2, which came from a rural fire service. it was set up with slide in tank and pump for "brush buggy" work. really nice truck, just opted for an A3 due to limited storage room, less miles, and the auto/power steering options. steveduece.jpg

Just called him, they had an arff truck but scraped it. Seems that is where most of the old Oshkosh's and deuces are ending up after they are done fighting fire. It's a shame. I'm still looking. I'd like to find both an Oshkosh arff truck and a deuce fire truck.

Thanks for the optimistic outlook. There are still guys back ends off of them to build bobbers and other off road pickups so something will show up eventually, just need to find the right trucks.
