Nice ship to tour. A WWII veteran told of his 25 day voyage to an island. He was given a hammock and told to find a place to sleep. He picked the bow door gear room. At the island, a detail was called for and he was lead to where he had slept and in the bilge water was to five gallon jugs of nitroglycerine. The nitro was taken ashore and buried in the sand. Wonder if it is still there? He had a funny feeling after sleeping with enough nitro to make him into a stick and spoon recovery operation. Mark
