trans is fine i am running the t400 behind the 472 big block in my gmc and that motor has more HP than that 6.2 ever thought about
Steel Soldiers now has a few new forums, read more about it at: New Munitions Forums!
I call BS - where are the dyno sheets to prove this? Or are people going by the 'a$$ dyno' readings?Greek dude, the cheepest power boost is swaping out the injectors for the 6.2 marine injectors. most claim 40-50hp boost
well....how long do you want your diesel to run? because if you start adding nos ...its not going to last longNOS (Nitrous Oxyde System) has a product for all diesel applications claiming +75HP
Any comments on that?

Amsoil. Easy power adder. Or any synthetic. Converting the entire drivetrain over will make a little more power. It's not 50hp, but it's enough to notice. It's been proven on dynos before too, it's not snake oil.
I don't know all the ins and outs of synthetic oil. But my personal experience has been with the ISB's. Which are great examples being that they are the loudest OEM motor I believe. Please elaborate.
Please keep in mind that the vehicle is equipped with 38 inch tires! The increased diameter surely affects top end at given rpm. Thus a lower gear I guess wont bother me there too much. After all this is not a car to drive fast. It's a machine that should pull hard and climb steep!the lower you gear down to, the less top end you have. At 5.13 you'll never see 55MPH again.
Depending on your budget the easiest way to make your truck "pull hard and climb steep" is to bolt in a slightly built 454 with the stock gears and 38" tires it will meet your needs. Please keep in mind that the vehicle is equipped with 38 inch tires! M1008 (see my avatar) lifted about 10", with stock 6.2L engine, 38" tires (in a few days 38,5" bogers). Stock gears, stock trans. Budged 5k usd. Then again maybe if we knew more details on your application of the truck we can give more ideas.
and Vector. The TH-400 is a very strong trans it has been used by Ferrari, Jaguar, Jeep, and even Rolls-Royce, and Bentley Used this transmission for a while. A Cummings 4bt would not wreck this trans
