M1008 cuts off after start

fires up, then cuts off say 3 seconds, restarts but cranks a lot
Im thinking leaking/bad fuel filter, but see no leaks. Drained fuel tank and installed new fuel/has new two 31A batteries 1185 cca @ 32*

This is a very common problem. The normal culprit is the fuel filter housing. Air gets in, no fuel leaks out and fuel in the line drips back to the tank over night.

Some have found relief by parking nose down over night.

You can pull the filter base, find the bad/ cracked sensor O-ring and follow the directions in the -20 about how to plug it with a bolt.

The best fix is to install a spin on fuel filter and base. Many, many threads have been written about this.

I took of the top screw vent cap and it was low, I filled until there were no bubbles..5-7 minuetes and the put the cap on and it fired up and kept running..thanks all.
