M1008 Starter runs without key on.

Good morning all.
As soon as the batteries are online the starter powers on. After troubleshooting, I found constant power to the under dash ignition solenoid. Is there anything else in the ignition circuit other than the Key switch itself?

The under dash relay is stuck. It needs replaced. Often a result of ecssevive cranking with low amperage batteries. Get a new relay that is compatible and fix the hard start condition,get

The relay is out of the circuit, not pluged in.

OK. You could have a shimming issue with the starter or a starter stuck out in the ring gear. I would loosen the starter bolt's and see if the starter retracts. Without seeing it, it's a crap shoot. Good Luck. Disconnect the batteries before doing any starter work.
