M1009 Tailgate Seal

Exhaust gases coming through tailgate. Son and I engineered seal from home insulation and duct tape. Stopped gasses from entering. Anyone been down this road? Looking for more professional solution. Large gap to fill. Chevy must have received many complaints?

Lmc is your best way. Replace the seal and it will not let exaust gases in.

I have a 1986 CUCV Blazer M1009. Anyone know a good place to get aftermarket weatherstrip for the rear tailgate window channel?
