After waiting 45 days for my SF97 from GL, I received this email today:
Mr. Smith, when preparing your documents, it was noted that the weight of these two trailers is less than 2000 lbs. The State of Florida does not require these trailers to be registered or licensed, therefore SF97s are not necessary.
We will refund your credit card for the $120 Titling Fees on Monday, Dec. 17.

Does this sound right? I'd call the tax office, but this came in after everything is closed. I've already replied with a request to proceed with the SF97s since I might not always be in the state of Florida. This makes me wonder since my boat trailer is lighter than 2000 pounds and I'm required to have a plate on it...
