Master Cylinder for M101A2, M116A2, M101A3, M116A3 is part number 10614 Actuator Master cylinder from Croft Trailer Supply, phone 816-861-1001. Last one I bought was $83.79 in Nov 09. Comes with standard metal cap. Military vented dome cap is part number 850279, cost was $47.55. They also have shock absorbers (32247) and all small parts to rebuild this actuator made by Balcrank . Happy trailering.........Wayne Walker

I actualy found a cap that fits the master cylinder from a late 50's Chrysler in a junk yard. (free) Does any one know where to get a rebuild kit for the master cylinder or if they are even available? $83 to $100 is a bit high to me for a master cylinder.

Ask for rebuild kit for a 1960's CJ5. The MC interchange as does the rebuild kit. Just make up a year they would be all the same from 59 ish to 1970 ish. I pick mid 60's because then the dolts at NAPA can find it in the book.

1989 M101A2: I've been researching a master cylinder (part number 10614) rebuild kit all day. Found a rebuild kit from Autozone (part number 22976) for $15. I specified a 1964-66 Jeep CJ5 and the parts kit appears to be the same. 1967 and newer Jeep CJ5 kits will not work. I will know for sure Monday when it arrives.

Thanks used the $15 repair kit saved me from buying a new master cylinder for $136. Noticed you can buy the Jeep master cylinders on ebay for about $40. Looks like it would bolt right in for a full replacement. Anyone know of a cheap surge shock replacement?
