M101a3

Finally got my M101A3 set up so I can pull it with My Tremor. Simple work really. Just replaced the light bulbs with 12V ones, put on a flat 4 pin lead and extended the chains. Pulls very well behind a 1/2 ton and I like the surge brakes. Does anyone know how many M101A3s were made? They seem very scarce compared to the A1 and A2s.

Don't know how many were made but that's a great little trailer. I love the interchangeability on the 8 bolt wheels.

Agree the M101A2/3 are the best overall trailers the Military ever fielded.

We’ll never know the exact production number.
A3s are not as plentiful as the other models from what I’ve seen.

If you get the fiberglass front and side panels and a complete set of metal bows, it will be even more awesome.
Add a set of TruckLite Military LED tail lights and you’ll have a trailer that will perform for decades.

Biggest advantage of the A3 is you can lay down flat a full sheet of plywood.
I know the frame is stronger.

Yes they are nice trailers. Back in the hey day of Govliq selling trailers I use to buy and sell them to get the parts I wanted. A3 are nice that they are wider and the brakes will stop my truck.

Yep. I'd trade my A2 for an A3 any day of the week, just for that reason.
