Today we installed the 4l80e/np205 back in the truck. We placed it on a pallet and lifted it with the forklift. We adjusted the angle a bit and it slided in without any problems.

Used the new mounts, a bit of black paint and it looks new again :)
Also put in a new seal on the output shaft.

Next week I'll start wiring the block.

The 6.5 does not have the temperature sensor mounted for the glowplug system.
I will use the baseplate of the 6.2 and will put it on the 6.5.

I'd like to put in a new sensor, only I can't find it on rockauto. Does someone knows the right partnumber on RA? (I prefer to buy it there because the have no problem shipping it to europe)

Enclosed some pictures of the current one.

The sensor on my 86 M1008 had to be replaced and the shop couldn't find it at any parts store either. Luckily he had a spare sensor laying around..

Some more parts ordered.

This weekend I mounted a new inner and outher fender to search a location for the coolant bottle of the 6.5. Moved the battery a 1/2" to the firewall so it fits between the batteries.

Connected al the coolant hoses and I think this setup will work. Still have to order al new hose clamps.
so I continued with replacing all the steering lines and hoses.

Next week I will continue with reconnecting the 4l80e and the ez tcu.

I recently also bought a 1977 gmc c6500.
I does not have a Dutch registration and will start working on it after the cucv is done.
The idea it to convert it to a cummins 6bt and also to a flatbed/hauler for our pickups.
It is still at the sellers location and runs and drives. Will bring it home with a couple of weeks.
