M103A3 pricing Question

Hey everyone, I am new to SS and was wondering how much I should expect to spend on GL for a M103A3 with two generators? I know that the generators probably do not work, I am mostly interested in the trailer, but just trying to get a budget together prior to the auction opening. I saw a previous thread talking about M101's going for anywhere between $600 and $1,000, should I expect the same pricing at auction for an M103A3? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

GOOD LUCK. That trailer with the 2 - 60 Hz MEP-002a's on it will most certainly end up going for more than $1000. The generators selling by themselves tend to bring 500 to 800 or more a piece

You will pay just slightly more than the second highest bidder.2cents

Seriously....there are so many varibles in auctions.

How many of the same item are up for bid.

How many people are bidding against you (including commercial buyers with deep pockets).

Where the auction is at. Transportation from site is a big consideration to some buyers.

Condition of said items and how many people previewed them.

No good answer.......bottom line is an item is worth what you or someone else is willing to pay for it.

If you only want the trailer, find one without the generators. The MEP-003's are not flooding out right now, and with the recent storms, prices are UP here in the mid-atlantic. The last M103-A3 with two 10KW's in Mechanicsburg brought $6900+, BEFORE 10% and tax! That is CRAZY! You can buy a running/tested unit from a dealer with some sort of limited guarantee for less than half of that.
Some people just like to overpay at the auctions, I guess... :deadhorse:

The last M103A3 I bought, got it on ebay for $99. That sucker has been to the scrap yard a dozen times and been to Aberdeen once and many FL Rallys. Was sad to see it go all those years later for something like $300. Wonder if green_gator still has it?

Yea i figured I would have to go over a grand for it, just wasn't sure how far over. My buddy wanted to get two generators for his property, one for the house as backup and the other for a pole barn as the main power. I just wanted a nice flat trailer that I could build on to make what I needed at the time I needed. I was looking at just regular civilian trailers, but I could probably buy the trailer with the two generators at that auction for less than I would spend on a civy trailer (new), when used ones that I am looking at are going for over 500 bucks, I just figure I will get a old military trailer.
