I an sure this should be in the Eq section but this trailer is used with the M35 among other things.
What is the Difference between the M105 105a1 a2 and a3
Do all the 105 trailers have the ladder on the tailgate, spare tire mount and stabilizer for changing tires ( the one that mounts on the side of the trailer)
can a basic 105 be upgraded to A3 specs with bolt on upgrades?
Thanks Jerry

The a3 is the only factory built M105 trailer with surge brakes, radial tires, spare tire mounted on the bed front, tire jack and the all important tailgate ladder. Also included are marker lights and tail lights recessed into the rear of the bed. The landing gear leg is a weak point of the trailer. The a3 is also wider between the wheel wells than the a1 or a2.

The a1 and a2 appear identical except for landing gear and the inclusion of an air tank for the air over hyraulic brakes on the a2 version.

If you want an M105A3, find one and buy it. You cant really build a M105A2 into a M105A3.. They are 2 different animals, that just happen to share the same M105 prefix.

You can easily make a M105 or M105A1 into a M105A2 by adding the correct tail lights, landing leg wheel, 2nd air line, relay valve and air tank.

The axle, drums, hubs and brakes are different from the A1 to A2. A1 axle and brake parts are a bit more scarce.

Thanks Guys
I have no Idea of the differences between the 3 and I am almost 100% sure that it won't make a bit of difference hauling my gear to the dessert or trash to the dump. I was just wondering on the outside chance that if it needed to be upgraded if it could be done easily if not no big. I am going to look at this trailer this week so I just wanted to have a little info Thanks Agin Fellas.
Thanks Jerry

I have a 1968 Johnson M105A2 with the single air line. The brake system is simple, and the trailer works well. I pull it behind my deuce, and occasionally behind my Ford pickup. The M105A2 is the best pulling trailer I have ever pulled.

Go with one of the older trailers (i.e., not an M105A3). While I prefer the A3, it will cost you more. NONOTAGAIN did a great job of listing out all of the nice features. If you shop around, you'll find an M105A2 cheaply. They are good trailers.

I wish you weren't on the otherside of the country. I have two really nice M105A2s that I need to move to free up some space. Good luck in your search.
