Been doing a lot of sanding and prep for glassing in the shower. Only real visible change is having the shower cubby built and installed:

Hope to get along with that project starting next weekend. First a coat or two for sealing up the wood so it won't soak up from the glass, then glass and resin for waterproofness, followed by fairing compound, a LOT of sanding, and the gelcoat. I know this will be a massive amount of work, but I am hoping it will be worth the effort in the end. I wasn't going to have a shower smaller than the available space, and no one made a ready-fit option in the size I needed. Hence, make your own...

Once you have your walls up for the shower/bathroom you could shoot all the walls and floor with polyurethane couple coats for a lot less work! and look at Formica brand and Wilsonart have so many cool finishes from metal to any color comes in 5x12 sheets just have someone with a big table saw set up to cut the sheet to dims you need easier to glue and install and alot lighter plus fully waterproof .

I am committed to this path. The reason why is that I don't want seams. The glass will lay up without a corner seam to seal and then flex and leak later on. I know other methods have been used and work just fine, but this is the path I have chosen and am OK with it. It will be a bit of work on the front end but I think the end result and peace of mind will be worth it.

At this point, the corners have been filleted and it would be work to reverse the process anyway.

I used ADVANTEC strips stacked to make the tub base then sprayed bedliner over that then tiled my shower base . On the first page of my build are some pics of the shower from start thru tiled maybe it will help ya !

Got sidetracked with another project: need over cab storage for a large inflatable boat we picked up. Building a roof rack combined with windshield protection and aux light mount. It includes a roof mounted hoist for lifting the boat (or whatever).

Without a bender, I purchased mandrel bends and will be splicing things together.

A little grinding and blending and it's looking pretty decent. I am pleased with its symmetry and how I got the tubing to arc with the main features of the cab... so far, so good!
