The switch is under the dash. Follow the brake pedal up to the thin wire linkage to the switch. Loosen mounting bolts to slide the switch for adjustment.

Mine was inop when I got my HMMWV as well. In addition to adjusting the switch, I used a couple of zip ties to stiffen the unit up some. That was many months ago, it’s still going strong.
