M116 Tool Trailer - I would love some help

Hey all, I picked up this old girl a few months ago and I’m cleaning up up to use for a tool hauler for my construction business and a overlanding camper when it’s unloaded.
I plan on welding a rack on top for a RTT to be mounted to and carry my ladders for jobs. The thing I’m having a hard time figuring out right now is how to change out from the original split rims to a more readily available and user friendly solid rim. I’ve done some reading and it appears that most people do a full axel conversion just to change out the wheels. Is this the only option?
thanks in advance for any help you guys can give me.

There is a one piece rim for dodge power wagons but very pricey.

I see the tires have been changed to a common civy size. That is what I have done with some of the trailers I have resold. You can also mount a spare on the front to be safe.

Axle swap is also an option

This is one some friends and I turned into a chuck wagon. It has a griddle, stove, water heater ( turkey burner and pot), pizza oven, two large coolers, two 20 lb propane tanks, five 5 gal water cans, plus all the cooking and serving utensils. All of this packs up in/on the trailer.279B2D82-0910-4901-B825-61537CCF82E4.jpegC2AF4F84-36D1-4A68-83A1-34BD2A0DFBE7.jpeg4C827768-634E-4BDD-BB22-2AB05B2481EE.jpeg
