M135 question?

We are transferring my Dad's M135 ownership to my Son. In doing so the notary needs the un-laden weight. In looking at the manual I read that to be 12,330# without a winch! Am I reading that correct? I am surprised at it being that heavy, especially empty.

That's correct, the weight/dimensions data plate on the dash says the same thing.
