Anyone know how to remove steering column on M151a1? Working on restoration. Need to turn vehicle over. Dont want that much weight on steering column.

There are four bolts that hold the bracket to the dash. There are three that hold it where it goes through the floor and two that hold it to the rubber disk at the gearbox. You’ll also need to remove the fitting for the rubber steering disk before you can pull the steering column up through the floor. And you’ll need to disconnect the horn wire if it’s still there.

Thanks Flyingvan, but I think you are describing a sterring column for an A2. Mine has 4 bollts at dash and a clamp above gearbox. I have that loose, but dont know how to disengage column from gearbox with total disassembly.

You need to pull the entire steering box. You can jack up the front
and pull the entire assembly out through the bottom of the vehicle
