Does anyone know what amp breakers are supposed to be, mine has 10amp and when I camp in the box in late winter my electric heater blows the breaker that goes to the power strip its plug in to. Would it be safe to up the breaker to a 15amp or are the wires too small.

Thanks

Most of the shop vans have 60 amp coming into the box from the big connector high up near the passenger side. I don't know about the inside, because I rewired mine. I used 10 ga wire and 20 amp breakers. YMMV

I gutted the electric in my 109 as well but I was pretty sure there were (4) 15amp breakers and 60 amp inlet fuses. The wiring was all 14 gauge. As a side note, I did discover some nearly melted through wires running down the center wire duct in the roof. You should be good with 15 amp breakers if you can confirm wire size, but heat plays a factor into what specific wire gauges are rated for. I'm sure it gets ungodly hot up in the van box's center roof wire duct in the sun of summer.

Well tore apart the fuse box and breaker box and got the wire sizes. The main fuse is 40 amp and has 6ga wire coming from it to the breaker box and the wire going the plug strips is 12ga. I'm only concerned about the one plug strip since I'm running my heater off that, the other I just have a fridge, microwave, phone and laptop chargers. Really sucked last year when it was 20 deg outside and the breaker kept popping and you lose your heat.
