Awesome. I am planning to start my S-280 Shelter build soon and all these camper threads are helping.
LOL... I am about to start work on my M146 and feel the same way.
Shame that I can't convince everyone on the East Coast to bring their camper to the Graves Mountain Rally this fall so that I can look at them all side by side in person... ;)

Wouldn't that be awesome! Man I would get so many ideas.

Thanks for your posts! My wife has been into the "tiny house" craze, and I have almost convinced her that something like what you've done is the way to go (more sf, cheaper and more robust than buying a 20' trailer frame, and scratch building). The only thing I have to overcome is that she's stuck on the idea of putting siding on the outside. I say it's unnecessary expense, weight, maintenance, holes in exterior. Doll up the interior however you want, but leave the exterior essentially stock (except for functional additions and a few well thought out windows) is my philosophy.

Thanks. I've almost got my wife convinced to live in it for a while and save some money to buy property. It's cheaper to build your own camper than buy a new one. And you can put what you want in it and if something does break, you know how to fix it and what it's made out of. I do recommend keeping records of what you use though, hard to remember it all!
We spend a lot of time outside next to our trailer, listening to music, cooking out. We even stay in it for weeks at a time and barely go in our house even though it's only 20 feet away! I'm actually in it right now, radio is on, grill is going, beer is flowing!

I think I've been in my trailer more than my house this summer!
Added a couple more windows.
Also pulled my spare tire down because it went flat a while back. Best I can tell by the date code it is from the 60s.
I guess I need to find some new 9.00s
