Buddies truck started making oil. Diesel fuel Leaking into crank case. Guidance to locate leak appreciated. TM's no help.

The FDC is one if its not bypassed, and the O-rings in the hydraulic head is another usual place.
I bypassed my FDC a decade ago but now I'm about to replace the rings in the HH for just that reason . . . it started making oil and my oil pressure dropped, especially when warm.

Also fuel fired flame cold start heater....

The only three sources for this are the flame heater, hydraulic head o-rings, and the boost pump seal.
Are we excluding the FDC?

No, that's real. Just don't see many, if any that haven't been bypassed already these days.

Yep SOP brush your teeth comb your hair and bypass the FDC.
