With all due respect, when I'm sitting having lunch with my family, and the two foul mouthed fella's sitting next to us are spouting out the "F" word, forcing us to hear it and deal with their lack of class and rudeness, it does not make for a pleasant outing.

I use the word myself from time to time. I'm no prude. But to advertise it up on the air in big neon lights just because you can, or to cite the abuses people take on the 1st Amendment Right as if it is justification, serves no useful purpose other than to advertise the level of quality the site has to offer, and the management problems associated with it.

Probably well conceived, but poorly managed.

I'll take the quality management of this site anyday, and the fact that the A3 is in the same thread as the A2. Makes no difference to me.

The A3 site is a winner in my book. I don't have to sift through 10,000 cyrptic titles, like Should I do This? What size tires? Where is Frodo Baggens? etc.

I also got the feeling that if you don't own a A3 you're not welcome there. They ask for your truck VIN to sign up and one of the mods posted that if you give a bogus number you would be banned.

With that being said, they can do whatever they want to over there. If you like the site join up and knock yourself out. I have no interest in joining at this time.

That was setup because of the amount of spammers the site was getting daily. Has not hing to do with SS A2 guy.

I just previewed the m35a3 website and I find it to be completely tastless and foul.

One member was banned from using it at work because of the foul mouth of an administrator. Evidently a web spider crawled the site and the programming of the computing system doesn't allow any worker from visiting sites that are not properly managed or in good taste.

I would never run, nor be associated with such a tasteless endeavor. It's to easy to do it right.

You are either being intentionally dishonest, or you didn't read that thread in it's entirety. It's one or the other.


It was phrasology that caused his web server to lock him out, NOTHING more. I won't repeat the phrase that did it, because I don't want the same thig to happen here, but there was not a single thing vulgar or distasteful about it.

If you don't like the A3 site......... OMG....... don't read it. Rodman didn't create it to be a memorial, or an encyclopedia for the future. He created it so that the A3 guys had a place to converse with a better signal to noise ratio.

Only Spammers are not welcome. That is the reason for the VIN number in the registration. Spammers will enter a bogus out of range number, outting themselves, making it easier for us to keep them away. A few weeks ago, Rodman and I were dealing with 100+ spammer registrations a day, it's a simple way to keep the bad guys out.

Considering the total number of A3's produced........ if it get's to 30,000 we're "off topic". It's a "club house" not a replacement for SS.

. SO NO VIN, NO JOIN, a little closed minded, sorta like some of the OLD JEEP sites that no longer exest

Gee my M35A2C has the same brakes as the A3 and my M109A3 has the same steering as the A3.

The M939 and M939A2 have just as much different.

Just saying.

And its threads like this that make so much noise here and newbes that can't read or use search or title a thread so it can be searched.

I'm just glade every day that the site is still up. Some of us still remember the crashes of the old site!

WOW! Im so sorry I ever started this post. This was not my intention to bring out this much contreversy. My main reson was for ease of information sharing when it comes the the A3, not to seperate the SS Group. And yes Im new to this site but not to random acts of kindness. Just thought it might be somewere that the A3 owners could get a handel on the information with a little more ease. When I saw that there was dueces and old dueces and that the dueses section didnt list the A3 model I was inspired. So if I have affended any one im very sorry . But for me it would be simpler and if we had are own forum thats all .

No, there are pleanty of guys who don't put in the VIN. They just type something that is easily recognizable. So far the ex-combloc and chinese spammers haven't figured out saying "From SteelSoldiers and I have an A2" will get you through the gate.

Phrasology? What in the world is that suppossed to mean? "Everyboby is Stupid??" It was the "F" word. Is that phaseology? The owner has removed it as a result of my post, apologized in a PM, and promised he would not allow it to happen again. It was a very well worded apology. I wish him and his new philosophy well.

He didn't make it. If they are not talking about it on the site, they will on others until he gets the new philosophy down and starts to run the site in a more professional manner. And that includes a more honest and sincere approach from Moderators on the site like you. iI'm afraid with your approach to people you do not represent that site or his best intersts well. Clean it up!
