Multi knocking in lower end, like it but looking for something more dependable. Found a Jasper rebuild DT466 w 20k on it for cheap. 190 hp version, inline pump, all mechanical. Had one in a single axle dump, was a great engine. Also running ''special blend'' fuel in a d436 IH tractor engine w/ no probems. Searched and found no one who has actually done this conversion.Any thoughts on pitfalls on this swap? ideas, suggestions? Wanting to stay with stock tranny for PTO for dump & front winch.
Thanks in advance, Andy.

The Radiator in your m51a2 sits close to the hood you may be able to move it up about an inch or so be for it hits the hood . The lower the fan the better there may not be much space between your valve cover and the hood at the front of your new engine. I don't know how tall your 466 is fan height is something I had work on when I changed out my MF for a Mack engine .
