Hey Everyone
I've been a lurker for quite awhile learning as much as I could and doing searches regarding just about everything. I have learned a lot from you guys! Anyways, here's the skinny:
2 weeks ago IP let go. ZERO fuel to the injectors, but fuel to the IP via the in-tank pump. My guess from reading on here would be seized plunger. I have not torn the IP apart yet because I don't think honing out would be the right fix and quite frankly all those little parts scare me. I would like to just replace the IP per the TMs troubleshooting chart, but I haven't found one at this point for less than 1000.
Now, to top things off, the local lawdogs are telling me it must be operational and used/moved every 24hrs to be parked on the street and I have no place else to put it. They have already 24hr stickered it once. It's only a matter of time before they catch me with a tow strap attached to my suburban moving it a little forward or back.
Anyone have an ideas? I would even throw an LDT pump on there if it meant not getting the thing towed. I can't even fathom how much they would charge at impound.
Thanks for any help/suggestions!
