is there a difference in the mounting components for the m66 on an m35a2 and a 5 ton vehicle. i have a few of 5 ton m66 ring mount accessory kits and when comparing them to pictures and the tm it appears there are mounting plates between all of the legs and the ring itself for the five ton vehicles. when looking at pics of the m35a2 it appears only one leg has a mounting plate between the leg and ring. on other pics it looks like people have used all 3 plates. any ideas? thanks kyle

M44 (deuce), M39 (first generation five ton) and M809 (second generation 5 ton) are the same.

The M939 is different due to it's wider cab width.

M44 uses a mounting plate on the left leg (driver's side). Right side legs mount directly to the ring. Think the 939 uses 3 mounting plates to span the additional width in between legs.

There is a TM here somewhere that has mounting directions for M809 and M939 and it shows the differences. It's a USMC TM.
