M809 PTO question

I have a winch on my M813a1, the truck did not originally come with a winch. My understanding is there is a low and a high gear for the PTO. I only have two gears down towards the floor and two towards the seat. I got under the truck and adjusted the connector with the all thread to give me some more room because I was hitting the floor and didn't have enough room to push the lever down. I adjusted it and I still can't get into the high range. My question is did they make PTO's for the winch that only had a low range gear? I tested my winch today and this is the gears I have are
Reverse-Neutral(where the door hinge is)-Low-Neutral. And I cannot go past this position to get into a high range. Thanks for the help

Sorry for the very late reply: all of them had High- and Low Fwd, plus Reverse.

Thanks for the response, I'll take a look at it again as I have not figured it out. The total travel should help me out.
