If you modified the fenders to tilt on the 809 body that would solve the problem.

So what I'm hearing from this thread is M939 base, M809 fenders, and make the M809 hood a tilting hood like the M939. DO IT!!

I like it. A front mount winch would probably interfere but I'm betting it can be engineered to be removable easy enough. Luckily I'm young enough that working on a truck this high doesn't scare me. Especially up on 16r20's. Just gotta build a hoist to pull under to lift the heavy stuff. I've got a few retired telephone poles left over from the front gate I could use.
