M816 stake pockets?

Well it's stupid question time again, why do the M816 wreckers have stake pockets in the bed. I have never seen anything in them ????

Pretty sure it's for the same reason the M109's have them: To be able to put a tarp over them to disguise their intended purpose.

Coooooool, I love sneaky military stuff. Is it the same tarp as the cargo trucks.
I have not measured the bed length

I put cut down staves in my stake pockets and when Kip pizzes me off, I hang him off the side of the truck. Its SO FUNNY watching him try to run after me and go no where!
