Ah, good to hear that the driver did the right thing then.
Still, should have pulled the front driveshaft to haul it backwards.

The easiest way to tow a 5 ton is to lift the front and disconnect the driveshaft at the front rear tandem , tie or strap the driveshaft to the frame out of the way and then there is no movement of the driveline to the front drive , trans, or transfer !! Any heavy tow truck driver should know that ?? That way you do not need to pull axles and it is a little easier to drop the driveshaft at the front rear tandem as long as the rear tandems are on the ground !!.
