M923 A1 Brake Pedal Issue

Sure could use some help with this issue. The brake pedal is sticking when I apply pressure and does not return to the normal position.

Do your brakes release when let off the pedal? Your treadle valve may be in need of a rebuild due to bad internal springs or crud build up. Here's the valve TM...

Thanks, the brakes will release once I pull the pedal back.

That's just sounds like the pedal binding at the fulcrum pin. Should be a simple fix.

There is a long external spring the pulls the pedal back up after release. Is that broken or missing?

Yes they release but the pedal still sticks when I take my foot off of the pedal.

The spring is intact , I checked it again today. I tried to lubricate all of the pins and the pedal would not return to non engaged position.

The brakes release just fine. The pedal does not return to it sticks and I have to pull it back to the non pressure position.
