Wow, that sounds like it makes it even more fun, not having to do the "recovery" and "cleanup" work!
Clean up I think is the worst part. Hours of fun days cleaning. I have a Polaris RZR side by side and 3 hours of fun is 2 1/2 hours of cleaning. I also remove the belly / skid pan to do a good job. Then I use lemon pledge and a rag on all parts for the final cleaning and it helps in the clean up next time.
I agree the clean up is the worst part. My M818 was used as a mud truck before I bought it. There is still dried mud caked into the frame, and other places.
I found out a 5-ton without a winch should be more careful than one might think as to where you go with it...
Clean up is by far the worst part for sure, and never forget these trucks are "crew served weapons"
Good grief I hope I dont have nightmares about cleaning my 5 ton after reading this, I gave up on laying on my back under a truck with a pressure washer 25 years ago and hope to NEVER have to do it again!
