My fan actuator is leaking air from the smaller hole on the end cap. i cleaned and lubed it but still leaks air. i was wondering if it should have an o ring. it did not have one when i took the cap off?

There are 3 o-rings inside the unit. You'll need to remove and disassemble it further to find them and replace them.

one o ring was split and another had disintegrated,

i just found a fourth o ring inside the small whole. I'm leaving for now because it looks ok.
